Animate a product shot, poster, or storyboard frame into an MP4 — keep composition and identity while you control camera feel, duration, and credits before you generate.
Start from a clear still
Choose Image when a still already defines the product, face, logo layout, or art direction. Text invents from language; Image preserves what you already locked. Reference is for following uploaded video or audio — not for a single hero frame. The patterns below are the jobs teams run on ToVideo once key art exists.
Start from a clean pack shot or 3D render. Prompt only the camera and light change you want — slow orbit, gentle push-in, soft parallax — and forbid inventing new logos or labels. Image to video keeps silhouette and branding steadier than asking text to invent the SKU from scratch.
You already designed a 16:9 or 9:16 key visual. Animate subtle atmosphere (smoke, hair, cloth, light flicker) instead of regenerating composition. Keep duration short for hooks; export MP4 for ads or organic posts.
When likeness matters, upload the approved still first. Prompt wardrobe or background motion carefully; avoid "transform into" chains that fight the source face. If identity drifts, shorten the prompt and reduce competing camera instructions.
Some models accept two stills: start and end. Use that when you need a guided transition (product closed → open, day → night) without a full reference video. If the model only takes one image, keep the end state in the prompt as a soft goal, not a second conflicting subject.
Image to video fails when the prompt tries to redraw the frame. Treat the upload as law; use text only for motion, lens, and atmosphere. Recipes and failure patterns below are written for ToVideo operators.
Workflow advantages matter more than another definition of photo-to-video: multi-model Image mode, visible credits, and a path from still creation to motion on one balance.
Open the video generator, choose Image, upload one still — or two when the model supports first and last frame. Duration and ratio fields update to what that model accepts.
Cost updates with model, length, quality, and audio when available. Failed finals refund so you can refine motion without silent balance burn.
Create or refine frames in AI Image, then animate here. One login and credit pool — no exporting between unrelated tools just to finish a short.
Text invents without uploads. Image animates stills you trust. Reference follows video or audio guidance. The form only enables modes each model supports.
Close the tab; the run continues. Download the MP4 from the preview panel or AI Tasks when status succeeds.
Successful generations expose download in the result area. Archive outside ToVideo for ads, clients, or your editor.
